AJ Fernandez San Lotano Requiem Maduro
A.J. Fernández may have gotten a name for himself through blending full-bodied Nicaraguan powerhouse cigars for some of the industry's largest retailers, but the family legacy dates much further back. His grandfather, Andrés Fernández, started growing tobacco in San Luis, Cuba prior to the government takeover during the early '60s. His brand was dubbed San Lotano, which A.J. proudly reintroduced in 2010.
Today, the AJF San Lotano collection sits at the core of the A.J. Fernández portfolio, being offered in a large selection of five unique smoking experiences. The darkest of which is the San Lotano Requiem Maduro cigar, which features A.J.'s own Nicaraguan-grown leaf throughout the binder and filler (as well as Honduran influence in the filler), being topped with a rich Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper.
The San Lotano Requiem Maduro cigar is a quintessential A.J. smoking experience, being hearty and balanced from start to finish, all while maintaining an approachable price for the everyday enthusiast. The smoke is medium-full to full in body, hitting the palate with roasty notes of earth, toasted oak, baker's cocoa, and chewy molasses.
