AVO Heritage Series
Practically synonymous with Dominican cigar excellence, AVO Cigars were among the first to be rolled by legendary cigarmaker Henke Kelner out of his now-famed TabaDom factory in the Dominican Republic. Today, AVO falls under the Davidoff umbrella, maintaining the same care and quality as the first AVO cigars of the '80s, being crafted out of the very same facility in the DR.
Among the brand's best-known offerings is the AVO Heritage cigar, which first debuted in 2010 in homage to the many craftsman, farmers, and workers that have made AVO a household name for cigar hobbyists over the course of the brand's long history.
The AVO Heritage cigar was an instant classic, showcasing a hearty recipe of tobaccos, including an assortment of fine-tuned Dominican binder/fillers concealed beneath a Cuban-seed Ecuadorian sun-grown wrapper. The end result is a medium-to-full-bodied performance that has more tooth to it than expected from AVO and the brand's nuanced tendencies. With the Heritage, cigar hobbyists can expect more robust flavors of earth, leather, and spice, with underlying complexities of natural sweetness and touches of licorice.
