Bandolero Series C
If you're a seasoned cigar enthusiast, you've no doubt mastered terms such as entubado, bunchero, and rolero. Well, we've got one more to add to your lexicon: bandolero. This term was used to describe tobacco bootleggers of the 18th and 19th centuries, who smuggled Cuban tobaccos to regions that were not under control of the Spanish Crown, which had prohibited the cigarmaking practice throughout their American and Caribbean colonies of the time.
Selected Tobacco has now picked up the concept for the modern era, introducing a suite of three cigars under the Bandolero name: Bandolero Serie A (Aventureros), Bandolero Serie C (Clandestinos), and Bandolero Serie T (Traficantes).
The Bandolero Serie C cigar is the lightest wrapped blend in the collection, boasting a ruddy Ecuadorian wrapper over undisclosed binder/fillers (occasionally noted as including Nicaraguan leaf within the filler). This mysterious concoction amounts to a medium body and a creamy texture, delighting the palate with long-lasting complexities of clean cedar, nutmeg, aromatic florals, and hints of brown sugar.
