Black Label Trading Co. Salvation
In the realm of craft cigars, there is no shortage of die-hard cigar enthusiasts (aka cigar nerds). These nerds/hobbyists set out on a never-ending quest to find the best possible flavor experiences, priding themselves on discovering hidden gems before the masses.
Since debuting in 2013, a top choice within the craft scene has been Black Label Trading Company (BLTC), founded by husband/wife team James and Angela Brown. The Browns kicked off an impressive lineup of six cigar blends upon entering the scene, offering gritty black/white visuals and Nicaraguan-focused smoking experiences for the adventurous palate. The duo even own their own factory in Estelí, allowing for complete control over their small-batch operation.
Among the original Black Label cigars is the BLTC Salvation cigar, which begins with an Ecuadorian sun-grown Habano wrapper and extends to include a Honduran binder and Nicaraguan filler. This makes for a medium overall body and strength, being among the most tame in the BLTC lineup. But the medium body allows the spotlight to shine on flavor output, offering up engaging flavors of hickory smoke, barbecue sweetness, leather, and dark chocolate that builds from start to finish.
