Brick House Double Connecticut
Like the world-famous J.C. Newman family of cigar makers, the Brick House Double Connecticut prides itself as being distinctly American! While the Newmans have long since had their premium cigars made by the Fuente family in the Dominican Republic, along with their own factory in Nicaragua, their home base has been in Tampa's historic Ybor City since 1954. Situated in an iconic factory that is well over 100 years old, the Newmans lay claim to being America's oldest family-owned cigar manufacturer.
With the Brick House Double Connecticut, the Newmans sought to represent their American pride, incorporating American-grown tobaccos in both the wrapper and binder. This begins with a Connecticut Shade wrapper that is grown in the famed Connecticut River Valley (somewhat unique in today's market, with most manufacturers moving towards the more affordable Ecuador-grown version). Likewise, the binder is from the same growing region, using a more hefty Broadleaf varietal. The cigars are then stuffed with all-Nicaraguan fillers, making for a smooth and creamy smoking experience with an added kick!
Smokers can expect a classic profile of bitter nuts, bright citrus, chewy peanuts, table cream, buttered crackers, and earth.
