Camacho Nicaragua
When Camacho Cigars debuted their drastically overhauled look and "Bold Standard" persona in 2013, the brand's lineup was simplified to four core-line cigars: Camacho Connecticut, Camacho Criollo, Camacho Corojo, and Camacho Corojo Maduro. Camacho has carefully expanded in the years following, only debuting a new core brand when the proverbial cigar stars align just right. This included the ever-popular Camacho Ecuador in 2014 and now the Camacho Nicaragua.
Camacho is historically known for their Honduran-forward smoking experiences, but with the Camacho Nicaragua they aim to highlight the fiery tendencies of Nicaraguan soil. These Nicaragua tobaccos make up the majority of the cigar's filler recipe, being joined by Honduran and Dominican leaves. This zesty core has been secured in a Honduran binder and an oily Ecuadorian wrapper leaf. The final experience is punchy without going overboard, allowing the Nicaraguan influence to shine with foundational flavors of oak, raw peppercorn, earth, and roasted nuts. Camacho Nicaragua is medium-plus in intensity, with the Dominican and Honduran ingredients bringing sweetness and balance, including floral and pastry characteristics to the mix. Bold yet balanced, Camacho Nicaragua does this exciting tobacco-growing region right!
