Crowned Heads Las Calaveras 2022
After releasing the beloved Las Calaveras Edición Limitada to much fanfare in 2014, Crowned Heads made the cigar an annual tradition, showcasing a new take on the series on an annual basis. The cigars are inspired by the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos (aka Day of the Dead), with each release paying tribute to the loved ones near and dear to Crowned Heads who have passed.
As with former releases, Crowned Heads has partnered with the skilled García family (of My Father Cigars fame) for production. With the Las Calaveras Edición Limitada 2022 cigar, the blend now boasts all-Nicaraguan tobaccos (including a Nicaraguan Corojo '99 wrapper) for the first time. Fans of the brand are now well accustomed to the look of the Las Calaveras, with the 2022 release swapping the primary color scheme for a baby blue palette this go-round.
Crowned Heads Las Calaveras EL 2022 is available in four sizes (including the sought-after petit lancero), with the full suite being limited to only 1,500 boxes per size. This year's blend is medium-full in body, showing notes of black pepper, medium-roast coffee, baker's cocoa, and touches of brown sugar sweetness.
