Crowned Heads Sfumato in C Major PCA 2022 Exclusive
In 2021, Crowned Heads introduced the Le Pâtissier cigar as their first PCA exclusive, meaning it could only be sold by retailers that attended the annual PCA trade show. Naturally (and in typical Crowned Heads fashion), the cigars were a hit, and were brought into the company's core lineup for 2022. But this doesn't mean that ol' Crowned Heads was out of the PCA Exclusive Series; instead, they debuted the uniquely titled Sfumato in C Major cigar as their PCA 2022 exclusive.
With a name like Sfumato in C Major, we kinda have to dig a little deeper... Sfumato is a painting technique developed by Leonardo da Vinci. The word stems from fumo, which means smoke (clever, Crowned Heads, clever). This technique allowed painters of the time to soften or blur the lines between colors, more closely mimicking the way we see. The C Major portion of the name was inspired by the cigar's wrapper, which uses a unique Connecticut hybrid wrapper, i.e. blurring the lines as to what a Connecticut cigar can be!
Crowned Heads combined the hybridized Connecticut wrapper with a diverse interior recipe, including an Ecuadorian Sumatran binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Peru. The Sfumato in C Major cigar was then rolled in a connoisseur-minded 6¾" x 48 format, being limited based on the orders placed during the PCA trade show. This is undoubtedly one of the more unique and intricate smoking experiences in the CH portfolio, allowing for a clean and refreshing experience to accompany a morning coffee, afternoon cream soda, or the buttery Chardonnay of the evening.
