Drew Estate Tabak Especial Negra
Coffee and cigars go hand in hand. In 2003, Drew Estate was one of the first companies to introduce a coffee-infused cigar, the Kahlúa Cigars Delicioso. In 2007, this beloved cigar turned into the Tabak Especial that you see today. Not only this, but a maduro wrapper option was added, giving hobbyists a choice between the original Connecticut-wrapped Tabak Especial Dulce and the heartier Negra. Tabak Especial is a premium, hand-rolled long-filler smoke, something you can't always say about infused cigars.
The Tabak Especial Negra cigar starts with a dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, followed by a Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The coffee infusion and overall body in the Negra blend is stronger than its Connecticut Shade sibling, Tabak Especial Dulce. Still mild enough to have as a morning cigar, this darker version will appeal to more seasoned cigar smokers. The flavors found in the Tabak Especial Negra, not surprisingly, include primarily rich coffee flavors, but don't be surprised if you find some espresso, chocolate, and cream.
