Illusione Allegria
In 2018, Illusione surprised cigar hobbyists with an atypical addition to the brand's core line: OneOff. The bemusement arose from the cigar's peculiar band, displaying a peace symbol front and center atop a bright orange background. This is because the cigars are a recreation of a 2001 brand of the same name—a pioneer in the boutique cigar space that helped to inspire Illusione's own small-batch persona for the modern era.
In 2004, the original OneOff cigar was followed by the Allegria cigar. As you might have guessed, history has now repeated itself once more, with Illusione adding the Allegria as the first sister brand to the OneOff. Translating from Italian to mean Cheerfulness, the Illusione Allegria cigar offers a similar tobacco recipe to its predecessor, homing in on higher primings to showcase added punch and a stronger overall performance. This includes Criollo '98 and Corojo '99 leaves from the famed AGANORSA fields of Nicaragua, being topped with the same Corojo ’99 wrapper seen on the OneOff.
The Illusione Allegria cigar boasts a familiarly balanced profile, hitting the palate with a medium-full body and snappy notes of white pepper, toasted bread, fennel seeds, and aromatic botanicals.
