La Gloria Cubana Serie S
For many cigar enthusiasts, the famed La Gloria Cubana Serie R cigar holds a special place in their memories (and humidors), often being credited as the smoke that started their journey(s) into the hobby. This is because the cigar debuted in 1999 (as many were entering the hobby following the great cigar boom), helping to kick off contemporary cigar trends such as large ring gauges and fuller-bodied profiles.
Fast forward more than two decades and the series continues to evolve, with the La Gloria Cubana Serie S cigar marking La Gloria's first-ever use of a Mexican wrapper. Yes, the LGC Serie S boasts a natural-shade San Andrés wrapper (brought about through a "low and slow" fermentation), which is secured over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers of Nicaragua and the DR.
La Gloria Cubana Serie S cigars are rolled at the El Credito factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic, boasting large formats of 56 gauge or more. This blend adds a unique yet familiar experience to the lineup, offering a medium-full body and robust flavors of earth, leather, dark spices, and baker's cocoa.
