Mi Querida Black SakaKhan by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust
Since 2016, cigar enthusiasts have been treated to cigar guru Steve Saka's secret tobacco mistriss: Mi Querida. And while there have been many variations of this Broadleaf-forward beauty over the years (i.e. Mi Querida and Mi Querida Triqui Traca), perhaps none have been more custom tailored to Saka's palate as the Dunbarton Mi Querida Black SakaKhan.
Yes, combine conquerors, R&B artists, and Steve Saka and you get SakaKhan! The name stems from Saka's Navy days of the '80s, as his middle name (Temujin) is also the birth name of none other than Ghengis Khan.
In terms of tobacco, the Mi Querida Black SakaKhan expands on the former Mi Querida releases, showcasing the line's signature Connecticut Broadleaf No. 1 Dark wrapper and gritty flavor profile, though making a few notable changes throughout the binder/filler. While the original Mi Querida boasts an all-Nicaraguan interior, the SakaKhan swaps the binder for Mexican San Andrés negro and boosts the filler to include Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Dominican fillers. This amounts to a full-flavored blend with a new spin on a familiar profile of cocoa, loam, black pepper, and French press coffee.
The highly anticipated Mi Querida Black SakaKhan by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust is intended for the seasoned palate, being limited in production and rolled in a singular 7¼" x 54 format.
