Al Micallef makes cigars, but he does a lot more than that. This Texas businessman has his hands in everything. He has a successful restaurant in Fort Worth, and when he brought Micallef Cigars back to life in 2016, he wanted to name a blend after his restaurant. And so, the Micallef Reata was born. The Micallef catalogue of cigars stretches far and wide, and the Reata cigar might just be the most tame offering of the bunch. This blend may be mild, but it brings a ton of flavor and complexity to the table. The silky Sumatra wrapper blends perfectly with the binder from Ecuador and the fillers from Nicaragua. The result is an elegant and complex flavor profile, with notes of cedar and white pepper balanced out by a nougat sweetness. This delicious blend is a great intro to the Micallef line.
