Oliva Serie O Habano
The Oliva family planted their first tobacco seed in Pinar del Rio, Cuba back in 1886. Take a minute and let that sink in; that is over 130 years ago. Not only have the Olivas been around seemingly forever, they have found a ton of success, with their Oliva Serie V Melanio being named the No. 1 Cigar of the Year in 2014 (since becoming one of the most popular cigars on the planet).
But the Oliva Serie O cigar is no slouch when it comes to ratings either. It received a 92 rating and was named the No. 11 Cigar of the Year in 2013. The Serie O has become a pillar of the Oliva cigar line and a classic in the minds of cigar smokers around the world.
The Serie O is a puro, blended in the traditional Cuban style. The same Habano seed was used to grow the wrapper in Ecuador and the binder and filler tobaccos in Estelí, Condega, and the Jalapa Valley of Nicaragua. The result is a smooth and tantalizing blend of earth, cocoa, cedar, and dried cherries. Make no mistake, this cigar is considered a classic for a reason.
