Plasencia Cosecha 149
The Plasencia Cosecha 149 cigar made a splash in 2021 for Plasencia Cigars and master blender Nestor Andrés Plasencia. The second installment of their famed Cosecha series, the Cosecha 149 is a celebration of the Plasencia family's 149th tobacco harvest, or Cosecha, since the family began growing tobacco in Cuba circa 1865.
This cigar puts Honduras and the Plasencias' rich and flavorful tobaccos in the spotlight. The dark and oily seven-year aged Corojo wrapper is showcased by a burnt orange and white copper foil Plasencia Cosecha 149 band. Underneath, lies tobaccos from three different regions of Honduras, all dating back to the same 2014 harvest year.
The Plasencia Cosecha 149 is rolled at Plasencia Cigars' own Tobacos de Oriente S.A. factory, located in Danlí, Honduras. This medium-to-full-bodied cigar is available in three sizes and comes packaged in 10-count boxes. The experience is uniquely Honduran—with rich spice, toasted bread, earth, and dashes of cocoa delighting the palate from start to finish.
