Protocol Bass Reeves
First came Sir Robert Peel, followed by Eliot Ness, and now... Bass Reeves.
The common thread with these names is that they are each historical figures of law enforcement, collectively making up Protocol Cigars' upscale Lawmen Series. Who is Mr. Bass Reeves? He was among the first black Deputy U.S. Marshals in history, sometimes credited as the inspiration for The Lone Ranger.
As with former releases in the Lawmen Series, the Protocol Bass Reeves has been crafted in both Natural and Maduro variants. The Protocol Bass Reeves Natural makes use of a Sumatra wrapper for the first time in the series. Alternatively, the Protocol Bass Reeves Maduro cigar boasts a hearty Nicaraguan Habano maduro selection. Each version contains similar binder/filler ingredients of all-Nicaraguan leaves from the sought-after tobacco vaults of Master Blender A.J. Fernández.
Additionally, the Protocol Bass Reeves is expertly crafted in a singular 6" x 52 box-pressed toro format at A.J. Fernández's northernmost San Lotano factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua. The Protocol Bass Reeves Natural is medium-plus in body, offering bright flavors of cedar, light cabinet spices, and toasted caramel. Meanwhile, the Protocol Bass Reeves Maduro is medium-full in body, bringing darker nuances of earth, black pepper, and sweet mocha.
