Protocol Silver Official Misconduct
Each year since Cubariqueño Cigar Company's debut in 2015, the company has introduced a new police-themed blend in their lineup of Protocol Cigars. After sufficiently covering the major blend types throughout their first three years, the brand then doubled back in 2018, showcasing a new take on the Nicaraguan-based Habano with Protocol Official Misconduct.
Outfitted with the now-ubiquitous 'P' logo design, the Official Misconduct distances itself from the respective blue, red, and gold color schemes of former Protocol releases, being cloaked in an eye-catching silver from head to toe. As far as tobacco is concerned, the blend is most similar to the original Protocol Blue (featuring a Nicaraguan binder/filler and Ecuadorian Habano wrapper), but the experience has changed; this is evidenced by a much more dialed-down body, catering towards refined nuances over palate-pounding strength.
Protocol Official Misconduct is closer to medium in body, ranking somewhere between the brand's former Themis (lighter in body) and Probable Cause (medium-plus) offerings. As a result, enthusiasts are treated to an assortment of complex, Nicaraguan-based flavors, including medium-roast coffee, loads of black pepper, earth, raisin sweetness, and custard-like cream.
It's official: this is a must-have cigar for the enthusiast!
