Southern Draw Manzanita
Since debuting in 2014, Southern Draw Cigars has grown to include a wide range of smoking profiles and engaging concepts for all walks of life, never losing focus on the Texas-based company's core values of faith and family. Despite significant growth in recent years, Southern Draw's portfolio lacked a certain cigar category: the ultra-premium luxury smoke.
Southern Draw now remedies this gap with the Mananzita cigar, boasting highly select tobaccos throughout the blend. This begins with a rich Habano hybrid wrapper, whose reddish hue invoked familiarities of the red bark of a manzanita tree (following Southern Draw's affinity for floral influence). This heavily fermented wrapper is joined by a Habano binder and fillers of Pelo d’Oro, Corojo 99, ligero, and other undisclosed leaves. This is an interesting approach: where cigar manufacturers often list countries used for a given blend (not disclosing tobacco specifics), Southern Draw reveals the opposite.
Hand-rolled at A.J. Fernández's acclaimed factory in Nicaragua, Mananzita boasts the most premium smoking experience from Southern Draw to date. Translating to mean Little Apple, Mananzita offers a fine-tuned performance for the seasoned palate; this includes a medium intensity and long-lasting flavors of hazelnut, baker's cocoa, cinnamon, and toasted hardwoods.
