Premium cigar and pipe enthusiasts are masters of meditation, whether they know it or not... There\'s a ritual to enjoying the intricacies of quality tobacco, often amounting to the commonalities of kicking back, sitting still, and thus being well. This is the notion behind Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust\'s StillWell Star cigar line, where company owner, Steve Saka, intends to deliver a peaceful state of mind through the combination of cigar and pipe tobaccos. Indeed, cigars have been blended with pipe tobacco before... but never at the level of the Dunbarton StillWell Star. For this unique project, Saka worked closely with Jeremy Reeves, head pipe tobacco blender at Cornell & Diehl, to craft an amalgam of these two tobacco forms for the seasoned palate. This began with custom pipe tobacco blends by Jeremy Reeves, which Saka then incorporated into cigar blends to best compliment and highlight each of the four recipes for the StillWell Star collection. The end result is described as "the world’s first luxury pipe tobacco cigar." StillWell Star is offered in four unique varieties: StillWell Star 5 Pack Sampler StillWell Star 5 Pack Sampler includes one (1) of each StillWell Star Aromatic No. 1 StillWell Star English No. 27 StillWell Star Bayou No. 32 StillWell Star Navy No. 1056 StillWell Star Aromatic No. 22 StillWell Star Aromatic No. 1 The most mild of the bunch, this cigar includes aromatic Black Cavendish, Golden Virginia, and Burley pipe tobaccos within the filler. This makes for a sweet and aromatic experience, accentuated with a refreshingly sweet cap. StillWell Star English No. 27 The English blend incorporates a mix of Burley and Turkish leaves with a healthy portion of Cypriot Latakia pressed cake. Paired with Nicaraguan tobaccos, the experience is medium-full in body, having a rich overall impression. StillWell Star Bayou No. 32 A Nicaraguan puro blend is combined with pipe selections of Bright and Red Virginia leaf, as well as highly select St. James Parish Perique tobacco. This makes for a medium-bodied experience, being well suited for everyday smoking occasions. StillWell Star Navy No. 1056 The Navy blend consists of stoved Red and Golden Virginias with a touch of Naval Rations, combined with Orientals and Latakia tobaccos. Rolled together with select Nicaraguan cigar leaves, the end result is medium in body and loaded with aromatic and long-lasting flavors on the palate. StillWell Star Aromatic No. 22 Yes, StillWell Star Aromatic No. 22 is the same blend as the OG Holiday Y2022 cigar, making use of Black Cavendish burley and Virginia pipe tobaccos alongside all-Nicaraguan fillers. This aromatic core is bound in a Mexican San Andrés leaf and finalized with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. Similar to the StillWell Star Aromatic No. 1, the Aromatic No. 22 cigar is an aromatic blend; however, the No. 22 does not utilize a sweetened cap. Rolled in a singular 6" x 52 toro size, the cigar is now a regular offering from DTT, bringing a mild to medium body and aromatic complexities of earth, vanilla, fresh pine, and fig pudding.
