In 2019, Trinidad revived the brand's image with the debut of the Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 1 cigar, offering a bright and vibrant color scheme that sought to capture the mood of vintage Latin Caribbean culture. The cigars proved popular, and Trinidad returned a year later with Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 2, this time focusing on Brazilian culture and imagery. Of course, all good things come in three, and Trinidad now turns south of the boarder, introducing the Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 3 cigar. The Espiritu Series is something of a world tour for Trinidad, and the third release offers not only Mexican vibes throughout its colorful branding, but the cigar itself highlights the rich characteristics of Mexican tobacco. This is evidenced by the wrapper component, boasting a dark-hued Mexican San Andrés Habano leaf. This is unique in that Mexico is known for its own San Andrés varietal, but the Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 3 instead uses a Habano seed that was grown in the San Andrés region of Mexico. As with all Trinidad Espiritu cigars, the No. 3 was made in partnership with famed Master Blender AJ Fernández, and the cigar boasts his prized Nicaraguan tobacco throughout the cigar's interior recipe. Full in flavor and medium-full in body, the Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 3 cigar stands out with its unique wrapper component. The cigar is hearty, showing fiery elements derived from the cigar's Nicaraguan core, though the wrapper adds a fun twist, offering sweet and syrupy coffee nuances, being joined by standout notes of earth, black pepper, and lingering anise through the finish.
